Will I Enjoy My Thanksgiving?
That’s the question that I ask myself every year.
This game means more to me than anything else. I know that you won’t believe me, but Michigan could lose every game and beat Ohio State, and I will be filled with extreme pleasure. In fact, going undefeated and losing to “THEM” ruins the season for me.
Why do I feel this way? I have been to games at the largest trailer park in North America, and have been treated by Buckeye fan as if I was a prisoner at Jackson. There is nowhere in this country or anywhere (except for British Football) where you encounter the most pagan e-convict white trash than you do in Columbus.
However, this year is different. During my lifetime Michigan has always had a chance. Even when Michigan was the underdog especially during the Cooper years, we still had one. Unfortunately, not this year.
I hate to say this, but I think Michigan will get routed:
- Soft defense that will allow Wells to gain over a 100 years; perhaps 200.
- Inability to tackle in space and/or contain Pryor.
- Difficulty hearing signals due to crowd noise.
- Ohio State will not come out flat.
- Many Michigan players and perhaps the coach may not really understand the fact that they MUST WIN THIS GAME.
Lastly, during last week’s game during the 4th. quarter, I saw some Michigan players laughing or otherwise goofing around. This type of behavior is unheard off, and you wonder if they accept having the most losses in Michigan history?
The Buckeye faithful would not like anything better than to crush Michigan, and I am sorry to say that I think that this will happen.
I pray that I am wrong, and happily if so, will apologize to all of you next week.
